NUCLEAR FICTION

Welcome to my author website, NUCLEAR FICTION. Nuclear fission, nuclear families—both are themes in my writing. In my first novel, fission is a metaphor for heartbreak, but I always write about chain reactions that spark from relationships. In every novel, expect flashes of dark humor and a spunky heroine who is too perfectionistic for her own good.

I have had a long career as a clinical psychologist and use my knowledge of family, relationships, and sexuality in writing fiction. I hope you will explore each of my projects and follow their progress; subscribe to my Nuclear Fiction Newsletter focusing on the Manhattan Project through literature; and stay current on my future publication dates and events.

Leslie Schover, Brief Bio
I am a clinical psychologist and bring my knowledge of people and relationships to my fiction writing. I spent most of my career at the Cleveland Clinic and the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. I published three self-help books and created a digital health company to educate people with cancer about sex and fertility. Will2Love.com won a 2019 Innovation Prize in the Astellas C3 Changing Cancer Care contest. My first published novel, Fission: A Novel of Atomic Heartbreak draws on my parents’ stories of Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project. I live in Houston, Texas with my faithful dog, Luc.
